CORONAVIRUS – STAY AT HOME – PROTECT THE NHS – SAVE LIVES
That is the message circulated in our mailboxes this morning from The Prime Minister, currently in hospital fighting this dreadful illness and I’m sure you’d all like to join us in wishing him a speedy recovery.
Frolesworth, like everyone is doing its bit and it has been wonderful to hear us out clapping on our doorsteps along with the rest of the country, thanking the NHS and Key Workers who are bravely continuing to work to look after us all.
We are also working together to ensure that people in the village who are 70 and over, or has an underlying health condition, or is pregnant or self-isolating get everything they need and we now have around 20 volunteers from the village to help anyone who needs help with shopping, collecting medicines or just a friendly chat.
There are a couple of ways to alert us to get the help you need:
Contact Carol by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone Gary on 07961 660392
For any new residents, we also have a WhatsApp Group called ‘Frolesworth Noticeboard’ where we can all stay in touch with each other.
If you aren’t on the WhatsApp group, live in the village and wish to be registered, please contact Carol or Gary as above,
We also now have a list of local shops that are supplying quality produce and we are in the process of listing them, (as we hear of them, so please keep coming back to check) in the USEFUL INFORMATION page, which can be found in the ABOUT Section of this website.
It is important to stress again that anyone who has a) a high temperature and/or b} a new continuous cough you must stay at home until the symptoms have ended and in all cases for at least 7 days. Everyone else in the household must stay at home for at least 14 days after the first person’s symptoms appear, even if they themselves do not have symptoms.
If anyone else develops symptoms during that time, that individual must stay home for an additional seven days from when they developed symptoms. Once seven days have passed and provided symptoms have ended, they no longer need to isolate.
We are very lucky in that we are surrounded by countryside but Please STAY SAFE when out taking some exercise, STAY TWO METRES APART from anyone outside of your household. If we all stick to the rules, we’ll get through this – TOGETHER.
