Message from HDC, forwarded by David Webb :
Dear all,
You may aware that Leicestershire County Council is developing plans to create 2,750 new homes, community facilities and business space on land to the east of Lutterworth. Recently a planning application for the 550-acre site, owned by the county council, was submitted to Harborough District Council.
According to the application the scheme is in line with Harborough District Council’s emerging Local Plan and includes around 1,000 affordable homes, over 100 hectares of green space and would generate over 2,500 jobs. It is set out in more detail in the attached summary sheet.
A public exhibition will take place at the Wycliffe Rooms in Lutterworth from 1pm to 8pm on Friday, 22 March 2019 enabling residents to view plans and speak to the team that has prepared the planning application. The drop-in event is being publicised through the media, social media, posters and leaflets delivered to over 5,000 homes in and around Lutterworth. Residents will then be able to comment through Harborough District Council’s planning process.
Harborough District Council is expected to consider the proposal this summer. When the application has been validated, it will be published on Harborough’s website.
