***** UPDATE ***** Closure of Broughton/Cosby Crossroads, Broughton Astley (HARB0585/2019)
As you may be aware, I have been in discussion with Leicestershire County Council regarding the ridiculous diversion they have proposed during the closure of the Cosby Crossings, on The Bull pub side, next week. It has now been agreed that there will be a local diversion signed in Broughton Astley that will direct traffic through Broughton rather than through Frolesworth. The caveat to this is that they will also have signage in place to divert non-local traffic on the route through Frolesworth. I don’t believe I can achieve any further improvement on this situation and my hope is that, with the local diversion in place very little additional traffic will take the Frolesworth route.
ADVANCE NOTICE OF A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER.
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location:
B581 Broughton Way, Broughton Road & Cosby Road, Broughton Astley (see
attached plan). The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Newline Civils to facilitate S278
works, plane out and resurface carriageway.
The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.
The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 2 weeks
commencing on the 12th October 2019.
A Press Release will be issued to confirm these details approximately 2 weeks prior
to the works commencing.
Should you require any further information please reply to this e-mail raising any
specific concerns you may have.
